Sunday, January 12th: Special Class with Katha: Liberation Dance Choreo

Katha has been in love with solo jazz since Corona. Perhaps you have already attended a Shim Sham class with her. She has a special choreography for the festival:
As part of a tri-national project, the 80th anniversary of the liberation from National Socialism (official end of the Second World War) is to be commemorated at various locations in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic on 8 May 2025. A swing choreography has been developed for this, which we want to learn together in this class. It is set to be danced on 8 May 2025 at various locations in Europe, including here in Aachen. Join us and set an example for tolerance!
We offer the same class twice in a row so that everyone can take part.

You can find more background information on the project at https://www.bremer-buendnis.de/ns-unrecht-entartete-musik/

Sunday, January 12th: Tea dance

We want to bring the festival to a cosy close with a Tea Dance on Sunday afternoon at Nadelfabrik. It starts at 3 pm and you can dance until 6 pm. Cake donations for our potluck buffet are very welcome! There might also be a surprise or two. The Tea dance is donation-based, but registration is still required due to limited places (see above).
