Swingin‘ in the Rain – Guest teachers
We have invited two professional dance couples with a lot of teaching experience. We are really looking forward to their visit!
Katrin und Jesús
Katrin and Jesús discovered Lindy Hop in 2012 at a party where their love of the music of the 30s and 40s led them. What they find particularly fascinating about the dance is the stimulating communication and equal interaction between leader and follower, the wide scope for creativity and improvisation that is characteristic of Lindy Hop and the infectious joy that comes from the music and the dynamic movement of the dancers.
The two have been teaching Lindy Hop since 2015. It is important to them that the dancers intuitively grasp the dance in a relaxed and appreciative atmosphere. The technical aspects, the connection to social dance and the inspiring effect of the music always play a major role. In May 2019, they founded their own dance school Swing Times in Cologne. We are delighted to have them as ‘neighbours’ at our festival in Aachen.

Eran und Isabelle
After discovering Lindy Hop in 2007, Eran’s passion for dancing has taken him almost literally around the globe. His travels and the experience in international Championships inspire him to spread the love for the dance, with a dance school in Israel and later in Berlin.
Isabelle was hooked right from her first visual encounter with swing dancing over 10 years ago, after already having been drawn to swing music from an early age. She soon found the dancefloors, locally and internationally, to be her second home.
Eran and Isabelle are now based in Dortmund. They are convinced that good body movement is vitally important for dancing with a partner. In their classes you will learn how to master complex movements more easily with the help of a lot of humour and examples from our everyday lives. You will also notice that Eran and Isabelle are a devoted teacher couple, that will not give up until you feel you really got it. We are very proud to have these Lindy Hop travellers swing with us in the rain.
