Flow & Friends Sunday, January 11th
On Sunday, our local teachers will offer diverse classes for different levels. In the afternoon we will end the weekend with a cosy tea dance. There will be a potluck buffet, any easy-to-eat food is welcome. We will also have some live music for you by local musicians.
The entrance is free of charge, but we are happy about donations at the door or onto our bank account. Due to limited capacity, registration is always required!

Community Moves Exchange with Jörg and Johannes
11:15 – 12:30, Foyer Nadelfabrik
Let’s share some moves – everyone’s invited!
We kick things off in a circle: Pairs of volunteers take turns dancing their favorite steps while the crowd cheers them on. See something you love? Ask them about it! It’s all about sharing and learning from each other. Every 15 minutes, a new circle begins – more moves, more fun, more connection.

Lindy Rueda with Yulia

Lindy Rueda takes its idea from Rueda dancing in Salsa. All couples dance synchronously in a circle (rueda is spanish for wheel), the next dance moves are announced by a caller. Yulia will teach some fun basic Rueda moves, a lot of which involve switching partners mid-dancing. Class with fixed dance roles.

Balboa Taster with Bärbel and Micha

Balboa is an elegant dance that is perfect when there is not much space available on the dancefloor and the music gets fast! Come join us in this exciting dance and learn your first steps in our Balboa taster.

Experiments with Rhythm and Connection with Susi and Johannes
13:15 – 14:30, Foyer Nadelfabrik
Discover how you can break free from familiar patterns and liberate your social dancing! We will explore different rhythms as well as different ways to connect with our dance partners. We will venture to create new ideas in the process to enrich our social dancing. It will be playful and experimental, but by no means simple. There will be dice involved. Intrigued? Come and find out!
Level: Intermediate/Advanced and minimum one year of social dance experience
Switch it up! with Carla and Philipp

You can lead and you can follow – why not do both and play with that during a song?
We want to give you some ideas on how to handle the roles more flexibly, showing you moves to transition smoothly from being a leader to being a follower and back. To participate you should be comfortable with basic moves such as send-out, tuck turn and circle in both roles.

Tap Coles Stroll by Honi Coles with Yü and Zal

„If you can walk, you can dance“ – this is part of an old african saying. In this workshop, we will introduce some very basic tap dance steps – starting with the most fundamental one: walking. We begin with simple rhythmic walking and gradually add more complex sounds to our steps. Everyone interested in creating rhythms with their feet is welcome!
